Linda Singler Holyfield

Linda has more than 40 years of experience in healthcare leadership. She has devoted her career to creating healthcare opportunities in northeast Louisiana. Linda spent the first 15 years of her career developing and managing numerous hospital-based critical care services. During that time, she designed and opened four adult ICUs, a PICU, and telemetry units. She also started an open-heart program and developed an emergency department. She then led the establishment of a community health center, a community clinic for the underserved, the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute, and P&S Surgical Hospital. Under her leadership as president and CEO of P&S Surgical Hospital, the facility grew from a small ambulatory surgery center that performed approximately 3,500 cases annually, to a thriving surgical hospital that performed approximately 10,000 surgical and cardiovascular cases each year.

She is a founding partner with Alli, which was established in 2001. Alli has grown from one client to numerous clients, offering a variety of critical medical management support services ranging from facility and practice management, revenue cycle, IT/EHR support, human resources, and regulatory support, as well as a recognized provider of anesthesia services.

She works locally and nationally to improve healthcare and healthcare systems. Linda led the development of a statewide health improvement plan, Louisiana Turning Point Initiative, which was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson and W. K. Kellogg Foundations. In addition, she served as a member of Governor Kathleen Blanco Health Care Reform Task Force and Governor Bobby Jindal Health Care Transition Committee. She was also a member of the national Catholic Health Association (Washington, DC) Task Force on the Uninsured. Linda was also one of the founders of the Foodbank of Northeast Louisiana and the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana.

She has been on many boards serving in major leadership positions i.e., United Way for Northeast Louisiana, Council for a Better Louisiana, the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana, and the Physician Hospital Association, the Louisiana Public Health Institute, Monroe Chamber of Commerce, and many others. She currently serves on the ULM Foundation Board, the Foodbank of Northeast Louisiana Board, the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, and the St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy Board.

She has served as adjunct nursing faculty for ULM, Louisiana Tech University, and Grambling State University. In recognition of her efforts to improve her community, she and her husband Joe received the Rambin/Silverstein Award by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. In 2018, the ULM Women's Symposium honored Linda with the Distinguished Leader Award, which recognizes female leaders who demonstrate a level of notable, sustained, and outstanding contributions throughout their careers.

Linda received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master of Nursing Administration (with a Healthcare Administration minor) from Northwestern State University. She then completed a yearlong, Healthier Communities Fellowship sponsored by the HealthCare Forum.
