Alane Bryan

Alane uses her knowledge of HIM processes and healthcare operations to support Alli consulting services. Her strengths are data reporting and analytics, as well as process evaluation and redesign. Throughout her 20 years in healthcare, she has observed staggering changes from paper-based systems to electronic healthcare processes. Alane uses her work experience to evaluate work processes and redesign workflows. She implemented ICD-10-CM/PCS at several medical facilities. She is an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer.

Alane joined the healthcare industry after completing the Health Information Administration program at Louisiana Tech University. While attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham in pursuit of a Master's in Health Informatics, Alane worked as a billing department coder for a network of 15 urgent care clinics throughout Alabama. She progressed through the organization during her three-year tenure from coder to coding supervisor and then to the corporate compliance officer. In addition to those roles, she also helped with the training of clinic front office personnel.

Upon completion of her advanced degree in Health Informatics, Alane returned to north Louisiana and shifted her focus to Health Information Management. In the hospital setting, she managed traditional HIM processes such as coding, scanning, and transcription. She also worked in various other areas of hospital operations such as medical staff credentialing, quality abstraction submissions, chargemaster maintenance, registry submission and maintenance, meaningful use attestation, HIPPA, report writing, and data analytics. She has played a vital role in the implementations of CPSI/Evident and Meditech.

Through her work with Alli, Alane has also become a liaison with our physician practice clients. She has helped implement new clinics and continues to provide oversight of well-established practices. In this capacity, she has worked with the Epic ambulatory product and other professional healthcare systems.
